What is ISO 9001:2015?

The Quality Management System Standard ISO 9001 has been used by the Food Industry for many years. It is a natural fit for the industry in which ‘process thinking’ is an everyday activity. The standard aligns with ISO 14001:2015, Environmental Management, ISO 45001:2018 Health and Safety Management and ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety. This enables business leaders to make decisions more easily on the allocation of time, money and people. The common high-level structure enables the alignment of Strategic Intent in clause 4, Leadership in clause 5 and Planning in clause 6 at the initiation of the Management System. There are many other industry critical issues addressed as you progress through the standard and clause 8 of ISO 22000:2018 embraces HACCP. Achieving ISO 9001:2015 is not easy and Quest brings years of experience with the standard to enable you to achieve registration.

How can ISO 9001:2015 help your organization?

ISO 9001:2015 takes you into running your organization as a management system. System thinking enables you to integrate the many processes in your organization and ensure they are linked. Linkage is vital. One of the fundamental principles of system thinking is known as the ‘butterfly effect’. A small event at the front end of a system can lead to major consequences at the delivery end. If that event is an error in customer requirements, the delivery result could be disastrous. An integrated Management System significantly reduces the chance of that happening.
